Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and booking service operated by EV Car Charger Installation (ABN 11 507 056 640), based in Melbourne VIC, Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website or submitting a booking, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our service

We are a booking service that connects Australian homeowners and occupiers with licensed local electrical contractors who install EV chargers. We are not a licensed electrical contractor and do not carry out installations ourselves.

2. Estimates & pricing

Prices shown on the website (e.g. a $700–$900 range for a simple installation) are indicative estimates only. Final pricing depends on your site, switchboard, cable run, charger model and other factors, and will be confirmed by the installer before any work is carried out. Supply of a charger is quoted separately and starts from around $500 depending on the model.

3. Bookings

• Bookings require at least 2 days’ lead time and are subject to installer availability and confirmation.
• You must provide accurate contact and site information. We rely on this to arrange your appointment.
• You may reschedule or cancel by contacting us as soon as possible.

4. Your obligations

• You confirm you are the owner or authorised occupier of the installation address, or have permission to arrange the work.
• You will provide safe access to the property at the agreed time.
• You are responsible for obtaining any body corporate, landlord or similar consents required for the installation.

5. Installer relationship

The installer is engaged directly by you and is responsible for the electrical work performed, including compliance with AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules), any applicable state licensing requirements and certificates of electrical safety. Warranties on workmanship and hardware are provided by the installer and manufacturer.

6. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or the booking service. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the booking service is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the service or refunding any fees paid to us.

8. Website content

Website content is provided for general information only and may change without notice. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Privacy

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
