What affects your quote

How to keep the cost down

Mount close to the switchboard. Every extra metre of cable adds material and labour. If your switchboard is in the garage, put the charger there too when you can.

Stick with single-phase if it's enough. 7.4kW covers overnight charging for almost every Australian home. Three-phase only pays off for very long daily distances or shared chargers.

Check state rebates. Some states offer subsidies for EV chargers when paired with solar. Ask your installer what's currently on offer in your area.
